$10,000 price reduction! Here's your chance to own a rare, classic two stateroom flybridge, Tom Fexas-designed Lace in excellent condition! Grand Tour has the preferred Cummins diesels. She has twin Cummins 6BTA5.9 250hp Diesels w/only 1150 hours. She has a very unique, very well laid out flybridge seating five to six people, and a very efficient hull design. A 44 Midnight Lace really proves a good design never loses its timeless appeal. From a design standpoint, these yachts are a step back in time to a day when 20 knots was fast for a cruiser, and people wanted boats that were both fuel efficient and sea kindly. In recent times the retro look in automobiles, furniture and yachts is in fashion. Tom Fexas was ahead of his time with the elegant, graceful look of the Midnight Laces back in the 70's and 80's. Grand Tour has more than adequate room for long cruising by a couple. The Midnight Lace features standard modern construction techniques. The hulls are fiberglass hand-layer over a three-quarter-inch Airex core, beefed up to five-eights inch at the keel and reinforced at sheer, chine and stem. With their beam-to-length ratio of four to one, these boats knife through the water so smoothly. They lay out a wake quite unlike other hull designs, where the transom sinks deep into the water. The Midnight Lace simply rises its full length with minimum bow rise, with a subsequent smaller, flatter wake. These Lace's combine near-trawler fuel efficiency with fast cruising-boat speeds. Grand Tour is the epitome of Tom Fexas' original express cruiser design. This is not a boat satisfied to just sit at the dock and be admired - she is equipped for cruising and is very happy to show herself off in the ICW or the open waters.
